1.0 987 Service Maintenance Schedule – Minor Maintenance:

Do an oil change every 10,000 miles (15,000 km) or every year (whichever comes first.) We recommend that you learn how to do this minor maintenance yourself and change your oil every 5,000 miles ( 8,000 km) or every year (whichever comes first.)

Doing the oil change yourself every 5,000 miles is cheaper and will increase the lifespan of your Boxster.

The regularly scheduled maintenance of changing your Oil in your Porsche Boxster is the single most important task that you can complete to ensure the longevity of your Boxster engine.
