Prepare Your Windshield for the Rain Repellent Application
1. Wash your windshield
Thoroughly wash your windshield. Get all the debris off of it. Then use an excellent glass cleaner that is ammonia-free and contains no soaps or scents. We highly recommend using Invisible Glass .
Do not apply on a hot day in direct sunlight.
Thoroughly dry your windshield.
The remaining steps are options and recommended for either Aquapel or ceramic treatments.
2. Clay Bar Your Windshield
Further, clean your windshield using a clay bar. Clay baring your windshield will thoroughly remove all contaminants from your glass.
Liberally lubricate your windshield. Use a light to medium clay bar (blue), unless your windshield is heavily oxidized.

3. Polish your Windshield
If you have access to a DA polisher, we recommend that you take the time to do this step as part of your preparation for using a rain repellent.

4. Use an Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) cleaner
Use an IPA cleaner to remove all remaining residue on the windshield before applying any water repellent sealant.
